About Me...

I have over 24 years experience working with children. As a teen I started off my career as a play worker for children with disabilities. I then worked as a teaching assistant for several years and then trained to be a teacher then taught Key Stage One for 6 years.
Before starting a family I chose to become a childminder (to work around our new family). Then once our child started school I worked at a regional adoption agency.
During Covid it was evident speaking with friends and family, that the mental health of our children was suffering more than ever.
I decided to follow a dream I had when I was in my late teens and train to become a Play Therapist.

I am passionate about supporting all children, but especially those who are care experienced. I have personal and professional experience with children who are currently in foster care or are adopted. I am currently undertaking a post graduate certificate in therapeutic creative life story work to support children with their life story.

I am passionate about supporting our children to reach their potential and thrive.

I qualified in 2024 as a Certified Therapeutic Play Practitioner and a Play Therapist in 2025. I am ICO registered, GDPR compliant, have Public Liability insurance and are held accountable by PTUK.
